Simple Tips To Look Beautiful Without Makeup

Hi Everyone,

If you were to ask any lady about that one thing in common which all women share, the answer would be easy to come by – Makeup! Isn’t it? And if your next question was to be ‘Do you have any skin problems?’ chances are most ladies would reply in the affirmative.

While makeup is surely a woman’s prerogative, having beautiful skin is something we all aim for. And the good news is that you don’t always need makeup to look beautiful. Find it hard to believe? Well, here I’m going to give you 10 simple tips on how to look beautiful without makeup.

How To Look Beautiful Without Makeup?

Follow these 10 wonderful tips to look beautiful naturally everyday without makeup.

1. Drink Water:

Definitely, the first and most important trick is to drink plenty of water each day, no matter what the season, since this glass of water will be way more beneficial to you than any makeup product you may choose to invest in. Want beautiful glowing skin? Drink plenty of water. At least half your body weight in ounces everyday.

2. Moisturize:

Love your moisturizer, ladies. The more you keep your skin moisturized and nourished, the more you can prevent the arrival of wrinkles and dry saggy skin. Make sure you moisturize your face and neck region, as well as your hands and feet, as these are the areas that show the first signs of aging.

3. Use a Face Wash:

Use a face wash daily to remove all dirt and pollution from your face and any traces of leftover makeup products as well. Washing your face daily, preferably once in the morning and once before going to bed, will help open up your pores and give your skin that fresh feeling.

4. Use a Toner:

Using a toner should be an essential part of your daily skin care regimen. While most of us go for the cleaning and moisturizing routine, we almost always end up being too lazy or forgetful about the toner and that’s where the problem lies. A toner will help tighten your skin and your pores and also remove any traces of oil or grease.

5. Shampooing Your Hair:

Using a shampoo every alternate day or once in about 3 days will make sure that your hair looks fresh and clean. Greasy hair will automatically give you an overall dirty and unkempt look; while freshly cleaned hair makes a huge difference.

6. Applying Sunscreen:

While we all know the benefits of using a sunscreen daily, most of us do tend to give it a miss, especially if we’re in a hurry and there’s not too much sun out there. This definitely is a skin-care and beauty disaster, as the ever-present harmful rays of the sun will continue causing damage to your skin. If you want to keep your skin looking naturally beautiful and healthy, you have to use the sunscreen daily; there’s just no other option.

7. Hot Water with Lemon:

We all love that first cup in the morning, right? Now try switching that cup of tea or coffee with a hot/warm cup of water and a slice of lemon. Having this first thing in the morning will flush out toxins from your body and will reduce chances of any skin sensitivities. This will also help keep your body stay hydrated and add that bit of glow to your skin.

8. Exfoliate:

Regularly exfoliating your skin will ensure removal of dry and dead skin cells to reveal a clean and glowing skin.

9. Exercise Is The First Thing To Do Everyday Morning:

Moving is an excellent way to pump blood to your skin. Raising your heartbeat drives blood to the skin surface which in turn enhances skin cells; something that you know very well.

10. Believe You Are Beautiful:

It all starts in the mind. Believing you are beautiful is a sense of self-esteem that can actually boost your health as well as beauty.
And here are a few additional tips on how to look good without makeup that will make sure you look well-groomed and beautiful.

Bonus Tips to Look Beautiful Without Makeup
  • Regularly get yourself a hair trim to ensure your hair doesn’t have split or dry ends
  • Don’t pick at pimples, spots or any other skin eruptions that you may have on your skin as touching them will only leave back spots and scars
  • Do not rub your eyes excessively as the same can lead to infections and redness
  • Stop chewing on your nails. Keep them well-trimmed. If you want them long, make sure they are well-maintained. If you polish your nails, make sure there’s no chipped nail paint.
  • Avoid drinking excess coffee or tea
  • Sleep well – at least 6-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep will work wonders for your skin
  • Do not pluck your eyebrows excessively; instead, opt for tweezers and remove those unwanted hairs
  • Brush twice a day, not more. Brushing after each meal will rob your teeth of essential enamel. Instead, brush once in the morning and once at night before bed.
  • Maintain a good posture
  • Remove blackheads, either by scrubbing at home or visiting a beautician
  • Bunk the junk food and eat healthy
  • Include fresh fruits, vegetables and milk or milk products in your daily diet
  • Go easy on the alcohol – it will help reduce any puffiness or belly fat
  • Go for well-fitted clothes and avoid following fashion trends that does not suit you. Understand your own style and get comfortable in your own skin.
Follow the above mentioned simple tips and beautiful skin will be yours to have!
That's it beauty lovers, hope these tips help you stay beautiful. Comment below with your own beauty tips to share. Stay beautiful, Christina

How to make your eyes stand out

Hey everyone,
I don't know about you, but my favorite part of makeup is doing my eyes. I like finding creative ways to make them pop or stand out. It has always been a big thing for me and over the years I have learned some handy tricks that I want to share with you.

1. Eye primer

Use an eye primer all over the eyelid and up to the eyebrows. This will help your eye makeup stay on longer and make it look brighter.

2.   Light base shadow

I like to use a light base shadow all over the lid and up to the eyebrow. My favorite color to use is a light pink color or you can also use a neutral shade

3. Vibrant color or medium shade

I like to use a vibrant color for my crease, usually purple, even though I was taught to use a medium shade in the crease, which is the correct way.  For me, I like vibrant colors so it makes sense to me to use that shade to enhance my eyes. Whatever shade you choose you want to blend that color in until there is no definite line from where one color meets the other. Also you want to be able to see the shade with your eyes open, so make sure you blend the shade up above the crease as well.

4.  Dark shade

Use a dark shade for the outer V of your eyelid over top of the base color. Again blend this color in so that there is no definite line from one color to the next.

5. Light to medium shade

Use a light to medium shade (I use pink) in the middle of the eyelid over top of the base color and blend this color in until there are no definite lines from one color to the next.

6. White, frosty, or glittery shade

Take a white, frosty, or glittery shade and use it in the inner V of your eye. This will open the eyes up so they look fresh. I found this to be a good trick for tired eyes.

7. White eyeliner

Take a white eyeliner and apply it to the waterline under your eyes. I recently found this trick to be helpful to make the eyes stand out without it being noticeable that it is even there.

8. Black or brown eyeliner

Take a black or brown eyeliner and line the tops and bottoms of the eyelids. I prefer to use liquid eyeliner, because I find that it stays on longer. Line underneath the eyes so that the line goes  almost all the way to the inner lid, but not quite that far. Line the top of the eyelid from the outer portion of the eyelid, all the way to the inner portion. If desired, you can even extend the outer line on the top to extend past the outer eyelid to create the cat eye effect. Do not make this line too thick or it will make the eyes look smaller.

9. Eyelash curler

Take an eyelash curler and curl the top eyelashes, squeezing it together at least twice for a few seconds each. This will help the eyelashes stand out, making them look longer and fuller as you
prepare to put the mascara on.

10. Black Mascara

Use a black mascara on the upper lashes, at least two coats. I use black as I have found that it stands out better than brown does. You can also put mascara on the lower lashes if you like, but I choose not to, because it usually gets everywhere under my eyes and requires clean up with a Q-tip afterwards. If you choose to use mascara on your lower lids, I would recommend using a smaller mascara brush.

11. Lash comb

Take a lash comb and comb the clumps out of the eyelashes and fan the lashes out so that they are separated nicely and clump-free.

So there you have it. I hope these tips help you to apply your eye makeup. Please comment below to share some of your tips for applying eye makeup. I love learning new ideas. Take care, Christina

10 Quick Beauty Tips For Busy Moms

Mothers are busy, we all know that. Do you happen to be a busy mom who often feels the lack of time for personal grooming? Do you feel being a mother, it wouldn’t be possible for you to make yourself stylish and presentable? Ever since you became a mom, it’s always been about the little one, what he eats, what he wears. You almost forfeit a big part of your life now that you have to give time to the kids. You will rarely have time to get dressed up and take time off to get some beauty treatments done.
But then, being a mother you can still be trendy in your own way! And this post tells you how!

Read on to know the top quick beauty tips for busy moms that can make her own fashion statement!

1. Get A Groovy Haircut:

The most important thing to do is get a good haircut. Ask your stylist to give you an easy-to-maintain hairstyle, one that doesn’t take too long to style. Usually, hair lengths between the chin and shoulder length are the most convenient, not too long to manage, and not too short to tie up. For the most mommy-friendly cut, look for something that falls between your chin and shoulders, so it’s not too long to manage, but you can still put it back in a ponytail.

2. Work On Those Eyelashes:

Long lashes equal beautiful woman. Try and find a mascara that beefs up or lengthens your eyelashes. Long lashes also make the eyes appear larger, which is another good reason why busy moms should consider lengthening those eye lashes.

3. Curl Those Lashes:

Although this might seem like a pointless step when you don’t have time, taking those extra seconds to curl your lashes is worth it! We know that lashes make your eyes look larger, but curling the lashes makes them look brighter and healthier at the same time.

4. Buy An Effective Concealer:

Here comes one of the most effective beauty tips for new moms. As a mum, dark circles under the eyes are something that all of you have faced. In fact, it comes with the territory. So, to ensure you don’t look tired or worn out, buy an effective concealer to cover those dark circles and get a fake rested look.

5. Take A Long Bath:

We know that being a mom and running around after the kids all day can be quite tiring. This excruciating routine hardly leaves you any time to enjoy a massage. So, do the next best thing, get into a warm bath or take a refreshing shower before you go to sleep to feel fresh and de-stressed. Bathing will relax the mind and the body, leaving you with glowing skin.

6. Moisturize The Skin:

Remember to use a moisturizer regularly. You will hardly have enough time to apply foundation or make up. Do the best thing by using tinted moisturizers. Apart from keeping the skin supple, you can be ready to go immediately.

7. Wash The Face:

As a mom, sleep deprivation is quite common for you. One look in the mirror and your puffy eyes stare back at you, deprived of sleep. Splash water onto the face; make sure that you splash water on your puffy eyes, use a good facial cleanser. This will help relax them and make them appear less red.

8. Buy A Pair Of Tweezers:

We know that as a mum, you don’t have time to apply foundation, so forget about threading your eyebrows. Buy a pair of tweezers and pluck the extra hair out of your eyebrows regularly to get that fresh-faced look every day.

9. Use Lip Gloss:

Remember to keep a lip gloss, lipstick or lip liner on you at all times, even if you’re in a hurry. Lip gloss is the quickest and the most efficient way to smarten yourself up if you don’t have enough time in your hands.

10. Use Makeup Sparingly:

Makeup isn’t something that you should rely on too much. However, remember to remove your make up before you go to bed. Keep a pack of wet-wipes or tissues on the side of the bed.
Here are tips specific to mothers with children of different ages.

Moms With Toddlers: New moms should always opt for quick fixes as most of their time will be spent in handling the baby. Beauty tips for new moms include:

  1. A “pick-me-up” face mask can leave your skin clean and glowing. Cleanse the skin. Mix honey with egg white and apply it on the face. Wash off with water after 20 minutes.
  1. Give your hair a quick tea-water and lemon rinse after shampoo, to add shine. Boil used tea leaves again in enough water. After boiling, you should have about 4 cups of tea-water. Cool and strain it. Then add the juice of a lemon and use it as a last rinse after shampoo.
  1. You have no time to shampoo. A quick emergency treatment is what you need. Sprinkle a little eau de cologne on your brush and brush your hair. It absorbs oil and leaves your hair cleaner and fragrant.

Moms With Teenagers:

Moms with teenagers should try to mask their aging skin. They require regular skin care regimes. Here are the tips for making beauty moms:
  1. In the morning, before bathing, don’t forget to cleanse and tone your skin. Always keep your cotton wool and cleanser in your bathroom. Apply the cleanser on the face. After few minutes, wipe your face with moist cotton wool.
  1. Give the skin a compress with cotton wool pads soaked in chilled rose water. The rose water soaked pads can be used as eye pads too. Lie down with the eye pads on for 10 minutes. This is extremely relaxing and a great restorer of both body and mind. It helps to remove fatigue and brighten the eyes.
  1. Facial masks are easy to use. You can do your household chores after applying the mask. Prepare your own mask with almond meal (ground badam), wheat bran (choker) and one teaspoon each of egg white, yogurt and honey. You can store the excess in your refrigerator for later use. Saves your time for sure!
  1. Before bedtime, soak your feet in hot water for around 20 minutes. Add shampoo and coarse salt to the hot water before soaking. Rub your heels gently with the help of a heel scrubber or a pumice stone. Never use metal scrubbers. Wash your feet and massage with a nourishing foot cream. Rub it well into the skin. Don’t forget to apply on the cracked heels. With a clean cloth, bandage the heels and wear a clean pair of cotton socks. For one week, repeat the procedure every single night. Consult a doctor immediately, if there is any pain or bleeding.

For Mothers Who Are Also Grandmothers:

Mothers of this phase mostly complain of wrinkles, fine lines and more skin issues. The mom beauty tips include:
  1. To take care of your eyes, remember to apply pure almond oil around eyes. Using your ring finger, gently massage the area around your eyes for one minute.
  1. Used tea bags are an effective natural remedy for puffy and swollen eyes. Soak the used tea bags in lukewarm water for a minute. Squeeze out the excess water and use them as eye pads.
  1. For a natural manicure, take 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar in a bowl and add a few drops of lemon juice and oil right before application. Take the mix on the palms and keel rubbing your hands together till the sugar dissolves. Keep it for 10 minutes and wash off with water.
You deserve to look beautiful. Share your ideas and feedback on beauty tips for moms in the comment section. Take care of you, Christina

5 Tools To Apply Your Eyeliner Perfectly

Hi Beauties,
Do you want your eyes to look gorgeous? Want to make them as charming as you ever can? Eyes are the most beautiful part of a woman, and the best way of beautifying one’s eyes is by using eyeliner! But then, how can you get that eyeliner right? Well, there are certain tools that can help you get the job done! Want to know what they are? Go ahead with your read!

Tools to Apply Eyeliner Perfectly:

1. Pointed Eyeliner Brush:

Pointed eyeliner brushes help one draw a precise, neat line. The brush has a defined end, which helps one draw thick or thin lines easily without creating a mess. The added benefit of using eyeliner brushes is that it prevents your eyeliners from getting contaminated.

How To Use:
  1. Dip the brush into the eyeliner bottle and then start drawing short strokes across your eyelids.
  2. Connect it by layering the product once again.
  3. If you end up with excess product on your brush, then remove it with a clean tissue paper before applying it to your eyes.

  1. 2. Angled Bent Eyeliner Brush:

The Angled Bent Eyeliner Brush helps one draw a precise, thin line, which gives a ‘no eyeliner’ look. This eyeliner tool has its brush end bent and angled to effortlessly draw lines on your eyes. It also helps in drawing the perfect winged eyeliner.
    1. Use the bent side of the brush to draw a line along your lash line and turn the brush at an upward angle to create a wing at the outer end.
    2. Pull the outer corner line towards the center of your eyelid to create a small triangle. Fill it with the eyeliner, and you will have a perfect winged liner look!
  2. 3. Cello Tape:

  3. What? A cello tape for makeup? Well, yes! If you are a beginner in makeup, then applying eyeliner is no less than fighting a battle. But if you are smart you can win the battle. In the process of application of the eyeliner, you always notice them in weird places outside your eye area. This tip will save you from it.
How To Use:
  1. Apply your favorite liquid or gel liner to the upper lash line as you would regularly do ─ from the innermost corner to the end of your eye.
  2. Now, take a piece of cello tape and apply it to the outermost corner of the eyes.
  3. Then, follow it up by doing the “Wing” part with the cello tape to create a perfect winged straight line for you.
You could also use the cello tape and create your very own winged eyeliner stencil. And this is how!
  1. Simply cut out a small piece of cello tape and place it on your top lid. Remember to angle your cello tape from the innermost corner of your eyes towards the outer corner of your eyebrow.
  2. Then, place another piece of cello tape below the bottom lash line.
  3. Carefully place the cello tape as we don’t want to trap any eyelashes under it. Please don’t forget to place the bottom cello tape at an angle, which intersects with your top cello tape. And then follow it with your favorite eyeliner. It needn’t be very neat and precise as the cello tape is guiding your eyeliner!
  4. Leave it for a minute to let the eyeliner dry and then peel off your eyeliner stencil. And you have created a perfect eyeliner look like a pro makeup artist!

4. Cotton Swabs:

Cotton swab is a small wad of cotton wrapped around the ends of a short stick. It can be of great help. But many would not have thought that cotton swabs can also turn out to be a must-have in a makeup vanity case. Yes, you would require them to fix your eyeliner mistakes.
How To Use:
This makeup trick will surely blow your mind! It is dedicated to people who are taking baby steps towards doing makeup. You won’t need any makeup remover or water for this trick.
  1. Once you have completed doing your eyeliner or mascara, the next step is to correct the mistake. As eyeliner and mascara formulas set and dry faster, you would have to try and quickly fix your mistake.
  2. Simply correct the eyeliner or mascara mistake by grabbing a clean cotton swab and then, place it over the mistake and create soft to and fro motions to remove it. And you are done!

5. Pen Style Liquid Eyeliner And Eye Pencils:

Today, pen styled liquid eyeliner markers are easily available in the market. They resemble sketch pen markers that we once used for our art classes. The design of the tool makes eyeliner application super easy. The felt tip liquid eyeliner can change your look from soft to intense in an instant.
How To Use:
  1. The pen styled eyeliner tip is pointed and gives effortless control and distributes the perfect amount of liquid in one glided move. So, it makes the difficult task of drawing the eyeliner as simple as painting!
Getting your eye makeup right is the first step towards looking gorgeous. With these simple tools, applying eyeliner will be a piece of cake for you! So, get beautiful! And stay that way, always!
